Handy Law Moves to Dismiss Proposed Fee for Renewables to Access RI’s Grid
National Grid has proposed to assess an access fee on distributed generation projects that don’t have any associated consumption load – public entity remote net metering and projects developed under RI’s Renewable Energy Growth Program – on the basis that those projects cost more than they benefit our distribution grid. But, their proposal didn’t even analyze the benefits so we’re fighting it on that and other grounds stated in this motion for summary disposition.
